What Is SJR Comets?
SJR has been the provider of Comets sessions since 2024 through our Friday evening sessions. These sessions are the FA’s recreational, pan-disability football programme, which aims to allow children with a broad range of impairments or health conditions between the ages of 5-11 to come together to play, and more importantly, be themselves.
Pan-disability is the largest format of disability football, and Comets works on play, friendship building and having fun in a flexible, inclusive way of playing. At SJR, we now want to make these sessions more accessible to all by bringing them into the school setting. Our new packages can be tailored to the setting, either as part of the school day or as further enrichment, with flexibility of short 6-week blocks or longer-term bookings. As part of this, we are also aiming to open these sessions to all age groups.
